Fruit crumble (vegan)

I used to make apple crumble every single week, it was one of my favorite desserts and snacks, especially in winter times, I used to eat it straight from the oven, hot and crunchy but since as we all know it’s basically butter, white flour and sugar, it’s not a very good idea for a healthy life style.

so last week I came up with the idea of an alternative for this recipe, but I didn’t only use apples, I used prunes, peach and dates too so it became a dessert full of micronutrients; which are vitamins and minerals that helps clear out the toxins from our bodies.

So long story short this is a great alternative and a very easy one to make one of your favorite desserts and eat it guilt free :D

Serves 4
Ingredients:
  • ½ cup of oats
  • 1 tbs of melted butter or coconut oil
  • 1 tbs of date puree
  • A handful of almonds
  • A pinch of salt
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • One apple
  • Two prunes
  • One peach
Method:
  1. Cut the fruit and put them in an oven dish, sprinkle the cinnamon then mix and cover them with aluminum foil and into preheated oven for 15 minutes
  2. Put the oats, salt, melted butter or coconut oil and dates puree in a bowl and mix
  3. Take out from oven, add your oat mix on top with crushed almonds, cover again and put it back in the oven for another 15 minutes
  4. Take off the aluminum foil 5 minutes before you taking it out  from the oven.
